Network Image Visualization
| Matt Haberman + + Network Image Visualization
This projects concerns network aesthetics and identity. It proposes that each network has a unique visual identity bound to the various social and political contexts which it is embedded into. Its goal therefore is to distill a network's data into a perceptible packet of information that evolves as the network's traffic changes.
The Network Image Visualization program utilizes Carnivore PE, a packet sniffing application to visual image based network traffic using the http protocol. When active, the program parses network data and captures any packet that appears to be an image. The application then downloads the image from the internet and displays it on your screen.
