Concept: The two projects that we posted examine the relationships between our place in the network and the network as a whole. Visually, we described the network as a galaxy and as the activities within the network increase, the color coded dots will grow. Each color (red, white, blue and green) determines the different type of activity that happens in the network. Red = internet, blue = mail, green = chat and white= others. 
Technical description: Chao_Ma2-- As each port number appears, tiny cubes will be placed from randomly in the space starting from the center of the globe and progressing out. The globe rotates at 40degree to simulate the rotation of the planet earth. (Zoom out to view the entire effect.) 
Chao_Ma1-- As each port numbers appears, the tiny cubes explode like fireworks and then slowly disappear with busy traffic. The intertwined green, blue and white lines also indicate the amount of traffic during the time. As the traffic increases, the lines will start weaving up the space like a spider's web nesting on a wall corner.
