Niko Shido, is originally from Tokyo, and has a degree in Creative Writing from the Institute of American Arts, Santa Fe, New Mexico, and a B.F.A degree in Digital Media Art from San Jose State University. At the CADRE Institute of New Media, she delves into multidisciplinary subjects of neuro-esthetics, perception, cognition, and cognitive semantics. She hopes to comprehend plasticity of human mind and how humans frame the sense of identity, sensory awareness, and kinetic relations with environments in order to implement these ideas into her projects. Her other interests include imagining the possibilities of video games in the future, three dimensional computer graphics, and relaxing in nature.
