DIY Urban Challenge
Artist team, Jonah Brucker-Cohen and Katherine Moriwaki's, DIY Urban Challenge, a workshop in which participants "hacked" the streets of San Jose, creating objects which interject themselves into the urban fabric, to stimulate new experiences of the city. On a field trip to SJSU Engineering department  back lot, participants in the challenge culled the technical and office waste for components for projects. A loose theme emerged of rack-mount racers and other mobile devices.

The two day workshop concluded with a race around Cesar Chavez Plaza. As of this hour two of the devices built by the team are installed in the plaza opposite the Tech Museum for Innovation
