A hypertext system, such as the WEB,
offers both viewer and artist the same environment.
The viewer can copy the artwork and modify it for their own use.
They can also link either whole artworks, or to individual pages into their own artwork,
creating a new artwork that recontextualizes the original artwork(s).
Collaboration between artist and viewer is also possible,
if the artist has configured their artwork in such a way
as to allow the viewer to modify it.
