Take, for example, a score of music, perhaps there is a score but it is invisible,
all we have are the various interpretations of the eternally absent score.
Inevitably someone will ask if there is even a score at all
or just all of the blaring interpretations,
and someone else will ask the same question,
and then someone else will ask
if the interpretations do not eventually compose their own score.
And then someone will write their own score and claim that it had been there all along
and we would have to believe them because they had a score to show.
