All I could here was the music being played and people shuffling in and out of the room where Nan Goldin's installation The Ballad of Sexual Dependency, 1981-83 was happening. This was a multimedia slide show with 700 slides and music with a duration of 45 minutes. I was tempted to peak because my guide told me that this was the most crowded room in the museum. We leaned against the back wall, I listened and he looked. I was ready to leave after ten minutes but my guide was obviously fascinated by the images he saw, so we stayed until he was satisfied. He described a few to me. The one I remember the most clearly is a slide of a woman lying on a bed, probably in a hotel room. She was half dressed and smiling.
